Visit nearby town Roja and get to know it’s interesting history The museum exhibition tells the story of fishermen life and work in the North Coast, nautical colleges founded by Kr. Valdemars and sailing ship era at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. The Soviet time exhibition reveals the history of one of the most powerful Latvian fishing kolkhoz „Banga”. The museum has an exhibition of the most prominent people and cultural workers of the coastal inhabitants of the North of Kurzeme. While visiting the museum you will also get a chance to learn the tehniques of tying the sailor knots.
